Details

The Department of Housing and Urban Development flag, also known as the HUD flag, features the department's seal centered on a white rectangular background. The HUD flag and seal is authorized to be flown by official government buildings only and not by mortgagees or any other member of the public who has received assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The HUD flag is available for both indoor and outdoor use in several sizes. We also offer officially-sized and prepared flags that follow agency specifications for authorized use. For more information, see the description tab below.

Our standard Department of Housing and Urban Development flags are digitally printed on durable nylon, whereas official flags feature embroidered HUD seals. The HUD seal consists of a white background with the words “U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT" in blue, making the outer circle. In the center is an image of an abstract eagle made of blue and green straight bars. There are six blue upper bars creating the torso of the eagle and eight lower green bars depicting the Eagle's wings. There are also two stars on either side of the eagle, the one on the left is colored green, and the one on the right is blue. The HUD flag and seal are representative of the urban landscape and high-rise buildings, and the eagle is a sign of federal authority.

Our indoor and outdoor Department of Housing and Urban Development flags are available in standard sizes for use with commercially sized state or national flags and in official sizing at a ratio of 1:1.9 as specified by federal agencies.
