FAQ - Wall-Mounted Outrigger Flagpoles

A wall-mounted flagpole attaches to a vertical surface (like a building or wall) and extends outward so you can display a flag perpendicular to the building or at a 45° angle.

Several flag types work:

  • Banner-style (pole sleeve): slides over the pole; secure the leader tab to the clip at the top.
  • Grommeted flags: attach using the complimentary flag collars (included with our spinning pole).

Fabric & size: We recommend nylon for outrigger poles. Polyester can get heavy when wet and may stress the pole. For sizing, a 2′×3′ or 2.5′×4′ flag suits 5′ poles; a 3′×5′ flag is recommended for 6′ poles.

Along with your flag and pole, purchase a flagpole bracket to mount the pole to your wall.

They’re ideal when ground space is limited or an in-ground pole isn’t feasible. Wall mounts create a prominent display at a lower cost and with simpler installation than in-ground poles.

It depends on the bracket you choose. Some brackets are fixed; others are adjustable.

Assembly is simple: screw the two pole pieces together and insert the pole into your mounted wall bracket.
